After graduating with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Double Bass from the University of Auckland, Talita Setyadi found herself being more and more drawn to food. Recurring dreams of colorful confections and chic pastry shops saw her pack her bags and make the drastic move to study the cuisine and patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. It was there that she found her calling in the pastry arts, finishing top of her class in June 2012.
Her blog www.talitaskitchen.com is a testament to her passion and talents in creating original cakes and desserts. It later earned her a feature in the prestigious Spanish haute pâtisserie magazine "so good…" amongst the world's best. Currently based in Jakarta, she recently featured as a guest chef and judge in RCTI's Junior MasterChef Indonesia, and currently teaches pastry at Pantry Magic in Kemang. Some of her current projects include the "Real Food Concept" pop up dining, a collaboration with chefs Arnold Poernomo and Angela Stasia, where she is able to continue to create as she gears up to open a pastry shop later in the year.
